1980 Corvette Interior Colors and Trim Codes
Seven interior colours were offered for 1980, in cloth or leather. Below is every trim code, the exterior colours each was suggested with, and how to read the code stamped on your trim tag.

The colour dots are on-screen approximations to tell the trims apart, not matches. Chevrolet never published values for them, and surviving trim has usually faded, so treat them as a guide and check an unexposed area of your own car before ordering.
How to read your trim code
From 1975 the trim code carries a letter that tells you the material at a glance. A code ending in V is vinyl and one ending in C is cloth, while an all-numeric code ending in 2 is leather. So 19V and 192 are the same black, one in vinyl and one in leather. Read the code off the trim tag riveted to the driver's side of the body, just inside the door opening, alongside the paint code. It is the only surviving evidence of what the car originally had once the seats have been recovered.
What each 1980 interior came with

Seats and trim in 1980
The three storage compartments behind the seats became two for 1980, with the battery keeping its own compartment behind the driver and the centre and passenger compartments combined under one door. It is a small change but a quick way to date a car from the inside.
How 1980 buyers specified the inside
1980 is the exact year the 8-track and the cassette changed places. The AM-FM stereo with 8-track went into 15,708 of 40,614 cars and the cassette into 15,148, a difference of 560 cars in a year of over forty thousand. Nothing else in the C3 option record captures a moment in consumer history that precisely. The CB radio had already collapsed to 2,434 orders from its 1978 peak. If you want a period-correct 1980 stereo, either format is defensible, which is not true of any other year in the run.
